Three Tips to Help You Bounce Back from A Bad Day

Bad days. We all have them and unfortunately no matter how positive or optimistic you may be, they are unavoidable. Over the past couple of years, I have come to a realization about something…most of us don’t know how to properly deal with our bad days.

If you’re anything like I use to be, when you’re having a bad day you probably allow it to turn into a negative ripple effect that may result in you having a bad couple of days, a bad week, or maybe even longer than what it really should be.

Here’s the thing. Bad days are bound to happen every once in a while, no matter how well things may be going for us. What we fail to realize in the moment is that a bad day is just one day.

That’s it.

It’s just one day.

And that one day does not define the rest of our lives. So, we shouldn’t allow that one bad day to create a negative ripple effect that lasts for a period of time. Instead, we should acknowledge that today isn’t our day, take things as a sign of changes that we may or may not need to make in our lives, and just strive to have a much better day the following day.

Easier said than done trust me I know! But as someone who has had many bad days, and many negative ripple effects as a result of one bad day, I’ve picked up some tips to help me bounce back from a bad day. These tips not only help get me through the day, but they also help me set the intention of having a much better day the following day.

Hey there love bugs!

As the summer approaches us I know some of us may be doing all that we can to look and feel our best. Whether this is changing up our eating habits, increasing our workouts, or just taking that extra time during the day to show ourselves some love, we’re all trying to love up on ourselves before the summer hits strong!

I know I most certainly am! And it’s not about having the “perfect beach body”, or “looking good in a bikini”, it’s really all about showing myself some self-love.

I can’t tell you the number of years I’ve spent hating my body. For a really long time I couldn’t stand looking at myself in the mirror or dressing myself a certain way because I just wasn’t comfortable in my own skin. And if I’m being honest there are still days when I look in the mirror and I nitpick at the smallest of things with my appearance, but I can honestly tell you that I love myself a whole lot more now than I ever did as a teenager.

That’s why I started working and engaging in self-care more often. I wanted to change the way I felt about myself from the inside out.

So, this year I’m kicking the self-love into high gear and I really want you to do the same! I’m planning on loving myself harder than I have ever loved myself before by making the commitment to stick to my ALL my fitness goals with the help of my Self-Love Fitness Planner Printable.

12 Habits of Mindful People You Should Consider Adopting Today

It’s not easy practicing mindfulness. This is because to really practice mindfulness you have to allow yourself to be present and nonjudgmental on a moment to moment basis. In order to achieve this, you have to adopt some very mindful habits, which in themselves can be hard to maintain.

It sounds pretty simple but it’s not. If it were everyone would practice mindfulness consistently.

5 Health Tips to Help You Stay Healthy with A Busy Schedule

It can be hard to have the motivation and commitment to stay on track with all your health and wellness goals when you have a busy schedule ahead of you. Trust me I know. Sometimes the best way to get through a busy day is just to just get through it. This means you don’t really pay no mind to what you’re eating or how your taking care of your body.

You’re just on the go, getting things done as fast as you possibly can.

Been there, done that, and I still find myself reverting back to these bad habits from time to time. Here’s the thing, when we know we have a busy day/schedule ahead of us we don’t take the necessary time to prepare for it. Instead, we spend all that time “preparing” trying to map out in our heads the best way to accomplish all the tasks that need to be completed for the day as fast as we possibly can.

While there is absolutely nothing wrong with doing this, it’s not the right way to approach the day. When we approach our busy days with the “how to accomplish these tasks” mindset, we miss the most important step prior to this day arriving.

How to Create the Perfect Workout Routine at Home in 4 Simple Steps + Free Printable!

Let’s face it.

We all want the positive health benefits that come with taking care of ourselves, but most of the time we don’t want to put in the necessary work to get there. There is no shame in this game. As much as I love working out and taking care of myself, I will be the first to admit that most days I have to get myself in the right mindset to accomplish it before actually performing the act.

The way I see it, it’s normal. Nobody wakes up and jut hops right into action. Everybody had to first allow for their bodies to wake up, find a burst of energy, before they can begin their day.

Here’s the deal. I like to complete my workouts in the morning, and no I’m not a morning person. For me, I believe it’s the perfect start to my day, it puts me in the right mindset for all the things on my list that I have to tackle, and most importantly it sets my mood for the day. Working out in the morning gives me the energy to greet the day that I might not otherwise find anywhere else.

But here’s the catch…
