How to Have the Best Week Every Single Week

Let’s be honest Mondays can be a drag.

For a long time, I was never a fan of Mondays. I always dreaded when the day would come because I knew that, that meant it was the start of a new week, which meant that I had 5 whole days to go before I got to the weekend again. Mondays have always been hard days for me because I would be so tired and not ready to start a whole new week at all. I got use to relaxing and being lazy over the weekend that I never did anything to prepare myself for the week ahead. And this wasn’t only as a teenager, this lasted for most of my young adulthood as well.

However, the reality is that Mondays is a day of the week that can’t be skipped over. Whether we like it or not we have to greet Monday in order to greet any of the other days of the week. For those of us for usually don’t look forward to Mondays, what do we do about it? We create a routine that helps us prepare for the week ahead.

This routine needs to consists of various self-care practices that will help you get ready for the week ahead. It’s important to have a routine that helps you unwind from a busy weekend, or to restore energy from a relaxing weekend, because it’ll also help you reset and be emotionally, physically, and mentally prepared for the upcoming week.

Are you doing a good job at caring for your body?

I know this question may come across as confusing because honestly, what does it mean to really care for your body? This is something that looks different for everyone, which means everyone relates to it differently. So, the real question should be is there a right and wrong way to care for your body? Again, this may depend on your perspective, idea, and understanding of what it means to care for your body.

However, I think a general consensus of caring for your body simply means ensuring that you are doing all that you can do to be your healthiest, and thrive in your strongest body on a daily basis.

Which means that there are a million different things that we can do to be our healthiest and strongest. Everybody’s body is different, we all have different lifestyles, and our bodies respond to various forms of care differently. Therefore, caring for your body is not a one size fits all type of deal. You have to experiment and find what does and does not work best for your body personally.

How to Be Body Positive for Your Health

Lately there’s been a lot of talk about the body positivity movement. How women should embrace their bodies and love themselves unconditionally no matter what their size or shape may be. But what does it all mean?

Honestly, I don’t think there is a straight forward answer about what body positivity specifically means, but I believe the underlying idea is choosing to love your body as it is, and in the many different ways that it will change over the years. The body you have today will not be the same body you will have a year from now. Which is why I think it’s important to learn how to be body positive for your health, not just your size.

This post will not be another post about body positivity, what it is, and why everyone should be body positive. Instead, I want to talk about this topic from a different perspective. 3 Ways You’re Doing Self-Care Wrong

I’m sure you’ve heard the buzz about how important self-care is.

If you’ve been following my blog for a while now then you know that I constantly talk about self-care and why it’s so important. Even if you’re not hearing about the importance of self-care from my blog, or the internet, or any form of social media, chances are you’re hearing about it somewhere.

There used to be a time when I was so confused about why everyone would talk about self-care so much. I’d go to the doctor and my doctor would always tell me to make sure that I was engaging in self-care. I’d hear it from my teachers all the time (college and graduate school), that self-care was so important and it was something we needed to do more of in order to be the best therapist, coach, counselor, or whatever we wanted to be, that we could be.

Believe it or not I even got told from my acting teacher about the importance of self-care, and that we (her students) needed to be doing it as often as we possibly could.

Self-care has been a popular topic in my life for a while now, and honestly up until about a year ago I wasn’t even the best at it. In fact, I had no idea what self-care was, what it looked like, or what constituted for self-care, that I didn’t even start engaging in it religiously until earlier this year. 4 Reasons You Shouldn’t Be Afraid to Workout

Oh my god you guys we’re coming up on the last days of the 30-day fitness challenge! I can’t believe it, seriously I can’t.

First, I want to congratulate you on making this far, or however far you made it. Working out to get yourself in shape isn’t easy. It requires a lot of hard work, dedication, internal motivation, and above all a devoted commitment to yourself. So, whether you stuck out the whole 30 days, you made it through the first week, or you just popped in and out the entire time I’m proud of you!

In fact, I’m so proud of you that I figured I’d help you continue your fitness and wellness journey by gifting you with something special. However, you have to read to the end of the post to see what it is! I promise it’s something good 😊.

But before we jump into that I wanted to share with you 4 reasons why you shouldn’t be afraid to workout. I feel like there is this weird veil that hangs over the fitness community. That those who are serious about fitness look a certain way, eat certain foods, maintain a certain lifestyle, etc. While it is true that what you eat and how active you are will contribute greatly to the results of your workouts, not living up to that ideal fitness lifestyle doesn’t mean you aren’t serious about your fitness.
