The end of the year is finally upon us and that means it’s time to start thinking about goals we want to set and achieve for the new year. I know traditionally this doesn’t happen until the very first day of the new year, but I’m choosing to start now. I think you should too and here’s why.

I’m a firm believer in the power of manifestation, and I believe that manifesting something great for yourself doesn’t happen overnight. Instead, it’s a habit and a routine that you have to create for yourself, and practice consistently in order for it to become part of your daily routine.

In other words, it’s better to start manifesting those positive life changes for yourself now, than to wait until the new year to do so. That way, when the new year comes around, the habit has already been made, and you can actually focus on putting the necessary steps in motion to work towards those goals that you want to achieve in the new year. The best part is that you began manifesting the success of those goals the month/year before.

What does it mean to be healthy?

This looks different for everyone. Some people think that being healthy is all a matter of the kinds of food you eat, and how much of it you eat in a day. Others may think being healthy is a matter of how often you exercise. The truth is, being healthy varies from person to person because the idea of what is considered healthy looks different on everyone.

My healthy may not be the same as your healthy, and there are a lot of factors to take into consideration when thinking about this.

However, I do think that there are common themes that exist for what it means to be healthy. These themes, or healthy habits, are all a part of what most would consider to be a healthy lifestyle. As you may or may not know, living a healthy lifestyle is more than just a decision that you wake up and decide to make one day. It’s a commitment and this is because it really does require you to make a lot of changes in various areas of your life.

Do you find it hard to stay motivated to workout on a daily basis?

If so no worries, I use to be where you are years ago, and if I’m being honest, I struggle with this from time to time. However, over the past year I have discover tips and trick to keep me going, especially on days when I’m struggling to find the motivation to workout.

We’ll dive deeper into these tricks in a little bit, but first I want to talk about the importance of working out daily.

Working out in general is so good for your health.

Exercising consistently can help to boost your energy, improve muscle strength, improve your endurance, strengthen your cardiovascular system, as well as your heart and lung health. When your body and all the important organs are functioning as they should be, you not only extend your life years, but you’re setting yourself up to be in the best shape of your life for many years to come.

These are things that we all ultimately want for ourselves. To live longer and be as healthy as we possibly can be. Which means we have to work hard in order to achieve those results. For some this may be simply changing your diet and eating habits, for others this may mean adopting a consistent workout schedule. I know this question may come across as confusing because honestly, what does it mean to really care for your body? This is something that looks different for everyone, which means everyone relates to it differently. So, the real question should be is there a right and wrong way to care for your body? Again, this may depend on your perspective, idea, and understanding of what it means to care for your body.

However, I think a general consensus of caring for your body simply means ensuring that you are doing all that you can do to be your healthiest, and thrive in your strongest body on a daily basis.

Which means that there are a million different things that we can do to be our healthiest and strongest. Everybody’s body is different, we all have different lifestyles, and our bodies respond to various forms of care differently. Therefore, caring for your body is not a one size fits all type of deal. Meal Prepping for Beginners

Meal prepping, let’s talk about it. This is a trend and a very effective skill that a lot of families and fitness gurus are adopting all over the world. It involves the act of preparing food ahead of time so that you eliminate the stress, and sometimes time-consuming process, of having to cook. Especially meals that you are planning on eating the day of.

I’m no meal prepping pro but I do find this to be a very effective and helpful way to ensure that I’m eating the necessary meals throughout the day.

In fact, I honestly have only just recently (the past 4 months) been getting into meal prepping, and even then, I’m not consistent with it. It’s not because I think it’s pointless or anything like that. It’s just that sometimes it can be time consuming and my days are currently so busy that I don’t really have the time to plan anything beyond one meal for every day of a week. The benefit of meal prepping is the fact that you can knock out anywhere from a couple of days, to a full weeks’ worth of meals.

Not only does it save time for cooking, but it gives you more time for other activities, like cleaning. Meal prepping can help you cut down your time spent in the kitchen, and simplify your life for the better. That’s why we’re going to take a closer look at meal prepping. [Read more…]
