3 Ways You’re Doing Fitness Wrong and How You Can Fix It

When starting a fitness journey, it’s important to allow yourself time to mentally, physically, and emotionally transition into this new lifestyle. Whether this is to lose a certain number of pounds, build muscle all over your body, or to improve a specific area of your body, you must allow yourself time to get there.

We often think that the fastest way to get the fitness results that we so desperately desire is by going on a diet immediately, or joining a gym that we will never 100% commit to. Do not do this or else you will be setting yourself up for failure! Instead, make a commitment to adopt a new lifestyle and leave your old habits behind.

In today’s post I’m going to share with you three ways you are approaching your fitness journey wrong and how you can fix it.

When starting a fitness journey what are goals that you set for yourself right off the back? Maybe it’s to lose a certain number of pounds, to build muscle all over your body, or possibly to even improve a specific area of your body. Whatever your fitness goals may be, build a lifestyle around it instead of committing to temporary practices.

Jumping into the newest diet trend or paying a month gym membership when you don’t even like going to the gym, is not the right way to start your fitness journey. Especially if you want to see results that are not going to be temporary, but are going to last. When we adopt the mindset of having to immediately start a diet and join a gym, we are potentially setting ourselves up for failure right off the back. This is because we are thinking of achieving fast and immediate results, and not necessarily the lifestyle commitment needed in order to truly be as healthy as we possibly can be.

Intermittent Fasting: What Is It and Why You Should Consider It

Do you have a desire to lose weight, improve your heart health, adopt a healthier diet, or just create a healthier lifestyle overall? If you answered yes to any of these questions then you are going to want to hear what I have to say. In today’s post we are going to be talking about intermittent fasting, the latest health trend that seems to be taking the world by storm.

Do you know what intermittent fasting is?

Intermittent fasting is a fasting practice designed to improve your overall health cycle. This is done by creating a personalized eating pattern that consists of a fasting period, where you go a certain number of hours not eating anything, and a non-fasting period, where you eat between a certain time frame during the day. Intermittent fasting is broken down into three different types of fasting, which we will dive a little deeper into later in this post.

If you haven’t heard of intermittent fasting, I’d like to say that you are not alone, but you just might be. This has been the latest popular trend in the health and fitness industry, and honestly a lot of everyday people are giving this a try as well. People practice intermittent fasting for a number of reasons, but perhaps the most popular ones are to lose weight, improve their health, and alter their lifestyle for the better.

Honestly this practice is pretty straight forward but because there is no one straight way you can practice it, it can get a little complicated in regards to knowing which style of intermittent fasting is right for you, and determining the appropriate time frames to eat and fast that work best for you. 8 Of the Best Workouts for Introverts

Are you the type of person who loves participating in activities but don’t necessarily love the company of others? If so, you and I are one in the same.

I love, love, love working out, going on long walks, doing yoga, following stretching videos, and pretty much anything that will keep my physically active while working on bettering my health. Recently I’ve even fallen in love with hiking, which is something that I do think ultimately, I could do on my own. I will be the first to admit that while I do enjoy doing a lot of activities by myself, there are days when I also love having company.

But for the most part I enjoy working on bettering my health with my own company.

This is mainly because I feel that there is no pressure to do well, to succeed, or to even extend my workout session out of fear of not being able to keep up with others. This is just a few of the reasons among many as to why I enjoy working out by myself, and honestly even in the comfort of my own home. I’ve been working out at home and alone for nearly a year now and I find nothing to be more liberating and more self-motivating.

Of course, there is always the option of going to the gym by yourself and working out alone, but honestly there’s just something different and more intimate about doing it in the comfort of your own home, where for the most part you don’t have to be surrounded by anyone else. Or am I the only one who feels this way? Anyways, in honor of being an introvert who loves to work out, I thought I’d share with you some of my favorite workouts to do, and workouts that I’m interested in trying, in the comfort of my own environment and for the most part all by myself.

How to Start Living A Healthier Life Now

It’s not easy living a healthy lifestyle but it’s not really all that hard either.

The way I like to look at it is in regards to what type of lifestyle you want to live. Do you want to a fitness type of lifestyle? An active lifestyle? A specific eating routine or diet that revolves around your lifestyle? Or do you just want to simply start adopting healthier habits that you can incorporate into your lifestyle, no matter what kind of lifestyle that may be?

If you’re looking for the last option then you have come to the right place. I am by far no expert in what it means to live a healthy lifestyle, but I do know what it means to adopt specific habits and routines that make a difference for the better in your life. This includes habits such as making better choices when eating, ensuring that I’m drinking plenty of water, and much more.

4 Reasons You Shouldn’t Be Afraid to Workout

Oh my god you guys we’re coming up on the last days of the 30-day fitness challenge! I can’t believe it, seriously I can’t.

First, I want to congratulate you on making this far, or however far you made it. Working out to get yourself in shape isn’t easy. It requires a lot of hard work, dedication, internal motivation, and above all a devoted commitment to yourself. So, whether you stuck out the whole 30 days, you made it through the first week, or you just popped in and out the entire time I’m proud of you!

In fact, I’m so proud of you that I figured I’d help you continue your fitness and wellness journey by gifting you with something special. However, you have to read to the end of the post to see what it is! I promise it’s something good 😊.

But before we jump into that I wanted to share with you 4 reasons why you shouldn’t be afraid to workout. I feel like there is this weird veil that hangs over the fitness community. That those who are serious about fitness look a certain way, eat certain foods, maintain a certain lifestyle, etc. While it is true that what you eat and how active you are will contribute greatly to the results of your workouts, not living up to that ideal fitness lifestyle doesn’t mean you aren’t serious about your fitness.
