The Perfect Quarantine Routine for A Stress-Free Day

There’s nothing more stress inducing than being stuck at home all day with absolutely nothing to do. I mean literally nothing to do but stare at a blank wall, watch TV all day, or mindlessly eat all the food in your house.

Have you ever been guilty of this? I most certainly have. Many, many, many times before.

What happens when we’re stuck at home with nothing to do is, we begin to look for things to do. Literally anything that will distract us from whatever is currently keeping us occupied at the moment, even if only for a few seconds.

As you can imagine this may sometimes lead to bad habits that do not benefit our health and wellness in any way. Like the ones mentioned above for example.

How do we avoid being stressed and picking up bad habits while staying at home? We find ways to mindfully be productive while at home. Being mindfully productive doesn’t mean you stay busy the entire day. All being mindfully productive really means is that you do things during the day that keep you busy enough to not pick up any bad habits.

It’s not about being a busy bee, having no down time, or doing things for the hell of it. Instead, being mindfully productive while at home is really all about doing things that will nurture your physical, mental, and emotional health.

8 Ways to Manage Your Anxiety While at Home

Being home 24/7 can be stressful. Very stressful. Trust me I get it 100%. There is something very calming and joyful about being able to be a part of the world and interact with people other people. And I say this as a HUGE introvert!

However, I also believe there is something very peaceful and powerful about being able to exist comfortably and truthfully in your own space.

As a homebody and somebody who experiences high levels of anxiety, I’ve learned a few techniques allow me to recognize my reasoning for the space I am taking up at the moment. These techniques help me better manage my anxiety.

It’s so important that we allow ourselves to exist truthfully in those moments when our anxiety may be getting the best of us. This is because by doing so we able to take a step back, acknowledge all that is happening not only with ourselves but in our environment as well, and then begin to manage the situation.

All too often we take for granted our power, our self-worth, and our ability to take up as much space is needed for us to reach our full potential.

3 Ways to Get Fit While Practicing Wellness at Home

There is a new normal upon us and it’s time to adjust accordingly. What’s that new normal? It’s learning how to effectively care for ourselves in the comfort of our own homes.

It’s no secret that I’m a huge advocate for exercising, getting healthy and fit in the comfort of your own home. I’m not necessarily against going to the gym, or using any other useful resources, I just have a much more positive experience coupled with longer lasting results with the at-home method.

That’s not to say that this will work positively for everyone, but if you’re someone who is not motivated by the gym this may be an option you may want to consider. Before we dive into the many different ways you can get fit while practicing wellness at home lets first discuss the importance of both.

What is meant by getting fit? For me this isn’t about having a slim waist, flat tummy, or weighing a specific weight. Getting fit is all about building your endurance, strengthening your muscles, tightening your core, and building your confidence, all while becoming disciplined in knowing how to effectively take care of yourself physically.

Practicing wellness is how we balance it all. Wellness is very much like self-care and they go hand in hand perfectly. With all the exercising you may or may not be doing, self-care is going to help your mind and body reset, as well as prepare you for all the work you will be putting in physically to achieve your goals.

This essentially means that you can find the energy and motivation to live your life the way you want with no limitations of any kind.

Before we move any further, I want to make an important note that being physically active and consistently practicing wellness is not about how you look on the outside. It’s all about how you feel on the inside, how you perceive yourself and appreciate your natural beauty, that you want to be reflected on the outside.

5 Ways You Can Practice Self-Care Daily

Self-care is so important for our health, every aspect of it. Self-care helps us properly care for our physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional health.

I know self-care is something that a lot of people talk about endlessly, but it’s all for good reason. There is an unseen connection between these four areas of our health and when one of them is out of balance, the others begin to teeter as well.

In order to prevent this from happening we need to make sure that we are doing our best to practice self-care daily.

Before we jump into some ways that you can practice self-care daily, let’s address the big elephant in the room. Why the hell do we need to be practicing self-care daily anyways? Besides the reason mentioned above here are a couple more reasons why:

  • Self-care improves our mood
  • Self-care reduces anxiety
  • Promotes healthy relationships
  • Invites positivity
  • Improves our self-esteem
  • Addresses your needs
  • Helps maintain motivation
  • Increases your awareness

Those are a lot of reasons to practice self-care daily and it’s not even the half of it!

Think about this list as individual activities. Can you see the way they directly impact your life? Everything on this list can have a huge impact on your career, family relationships, friendships, the goals you set, and so much more.

Essentially the way you practice self-care, and how often you practice it can directly impact the way you live your life. In order for you to live your happiest and most fulfilled life, self-care is something that you will need to practice daily to ensure you are taking care of yourself to the best of your ability.

How to Set and Achieve Meaningful Goals

What’s your biggest struggle when it comes to goal setting?

Is it finding the “right” goals to set? Knowing how to set realistic goals? Or maybe even setting goals that you will actually feel motivated to work towards? Possibly all of these and much more?

Whatever your struggle is I want you to know that you are not alone.

One of my greatest passions in life is setting goals that I can slowly work towards achieving over the course of a specific amount of time. Sounds so nerdy I know but honestly, I don’t care! I contribute a huge amount of my success in life to my ability to set goals constantly.

It’s so important to set goals for two reasons. One, they show where your current mind state is. Your goals are a mental and physical reflection of where you envision yourself 3, 5, and sometimes even 10 years from now. When you can dream that big it shows that you have big plans for yourself in the future.

The second reason is because it’s a continuous sign of personal development.

Think about it this way, when you set goals, they are going to be related to yourself in some way. Whether that’s through your health, your career, your family relationships, or your life in the future, every goal you set has a direct connection to you.

When you work on those goals, you’re bettering some part of you in some way that is all going to help you become the best version of yourself. I personally do not believe that we can become the best version of ourselves without the commitment to fully engage in personal development.

As you can see setting goals plays an important role in our lives. They can help us paint a picture of how we envision our future life, as well as reveal to us the most important and meaningful aspects of our life in the present moment.

Goal setting isn’t easy but it isn’t hard either. If you struggle with setting goals that you can then set out to achieve today is your lucky day. I’ve got a few tricks up my sleeve that will help you out tremendously!
