How to Stay on Track with All Your Fitness Goals + A Free Self-Love Fitness Planner Printable!

Hey there love bugs!

As the summer approaches us I know some of us may be doing all that we can to look and feel our best. Whether this is changing up our eating habits, increasing our workouts, or just taking that extra time during the day to show ourselves some love, we’re all trying to love up on ourselves before the summer hits strong!

I know I most certainly am! And it’s not about having the “perfect beach body”, or “looking good in a bikini”, it’s really all about showing myself some self-love.

I can’t tell you the number of years I’ve spent hating my body. For a really long time I couldn’t stand looking at myself in the mirror or dressing myself a certain way because I just wasn’t comfortable in my own skin. And if I’m being honest there are still days when I look in the mirror and I nitpick at the smallest of things with my appearance, but I can honestly tell you that I love myself a whole lot more now than I ever did as a teenager.

That’s why I started working and engaging in self-care more often. I wanted to change the way I felt about myself from the inside out.

So, this year I’m kicking the self-love into high gear and I really want you to do the same! I’m planning on loving myself harder than I have ever loved myself before by making the commitment to stick to my ALL my fitness goals with the help of my Self-Love Fitness Planner Printable.

I’ll tell you more about that in a second, but first here are some quick tips on how you can stay on track with all your fitness goals this summer.

How to stay on track

  1. Fuel your body with healthy foods

I know that the summertime screams ice cream and delicious BBQs, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t eat healthier foods as well. What I really love about the summer is all the delicious fruits that you can find in your local grocery store, or even better at your local farmers market.

This includes fruits such as:

  • Strawberries
  • Pineapples
  • Mangos
  • Grapes
  • Cantaloupe
  • And my favorite watermelons!

All these fruits plus many more are sure to bring such a refreshing taste to the summertime heat, and sweeten your taste buds all summer long. Choosing to eat fruits during the summertime also promotes the habit of snacking on healthier options, which as we know will help us see and feel the positive transformations that are happening with our bodies. The positive transformations that we want to see!

Plus, if we’re being honest fruit kind of fits the theme of summer! Fun, sweet, and refreshing. I mean it doesn’t get any more logical than this, right?

  1. Take care of yourself from the inside out

You know I’m a such a huge advocate for working out. Well love bugs, summertime doesn’t change my mindset about this. I truly do believe that you should strive to stay consistent with your workout routine during the summer because it’s a great confidence booster!

Think about how you feel when you work out, during and after the process. Sure, it may hurt a little, but you always feel so much stronger and better about yourself afterwards. You are going to want to have that type of energy flowing through your veins, pumping your heart, and radiating off of your body all summer long.

Not only will this help teach you how to stop comparing yourself to others, but it will also teach you how to LOVE yourself a little bit more each and every day.

Our bodies are a gift and while we can transform them to our own personal liking, to the best of our ability, the fact of the matter is that at some point and time you are going to have to just ACCEPT the skin that you are in. The best way to develop this habit is by intentionally taking care of yourself now.

Do more of what makes you feel good, and less of what doesn’t. This will start the ripple effect of changing the way you feel about yourself on the inside, and pulling all that self-love out to the surface. I really do believe that the most attractive people on the face of this Earth are those who are comfortable in their own skin, and love themselves unconditionally.

It’s not about how you look but how you FEEL. Start making those little changes now so that they can become a natural part of who you are forever.

Simply fill in your workouts for every day of the month. These can literally be ANY type of workout that you want to do, such as an ab workout or cardio, and can range anywhere from one to three different kinds of workouts in one day. The choice is yours.

Get into the habit of planning out your meals. The best way to do this is to write out all the meals that you will eat for the week. Be sure to include breakfast, lunch, dinner, and any snacks for the day. Write them out in the appropriate boxes for the week (example: Monday breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks).

Keep track of your daily water intake with this monthly calendar. All you have to do is just put an X through a water droplet each time you finish your desired goal of drinking one cup of water.
